Description: This is another example of shipping containers making the perfect building blocks for architectural designs. The 3 bedroom house covers 1350 square feet making it quite compact, however with the forward thinking design of stacking two of the containers on one side, and cutting the third in half to create protective walls for the main living room, it is gives off a spacious and airy demeanor. Bay windows have been added to the bedrooms, which are situated on the top floor. The (bottom level) is connected to the two main containers through an atrium by stairs and a bridge. This is a very sleek and modern looking home!
Number of Shipping Containers Used: Three insulated containers were used

Benefits: Rather than having all of the shipping containers stacked on top of one another, having the containers split and connected via something else (in this case, a stair and a bridge), gives it so much more character! It also allows for the house to have more space without having to use more containers when they aren’t necessarily needed.
